Spyderco Byrd Robin 2 Lightweight Knife

The Robin 2 Lightweight has been refreshed with new features. Its mid-size design makes it an easy knife to carry in an office or outdoor environment. The blade is a full-flat ground, high-carbon 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a comet-shaped hole for one-handed opening and closing. Jimping (crosshatching) on the spine creates a textured section where the thumb rests, providing tactile resistance to prevent the folder from sliding or slipping during cutting tasks. The fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle is molded with a bi-directional texturing pattern resembling fish scales, which helps maintain a steady grip even in wet, slick, or gloved hands.

The addition of a four-way clip offers the option of carrying the folder tip-up, tip-down, or left-right-handed. A lanyard hole at the back of the handle accommodates a secondary retentive thong or cord. Custom knifemaker David Boyes' design feature includes a half-moon-shaped snip of steel removed from the lock's release lever, providing an added safety measure.

The Robin 2 Lightweight has undergone a process called C.Q.I. (Constant Quality Improvement), resulting in enhanced ergonomics, the four-way pocket clip, and a high-performance, full-flat ground blade. This pocket knife is both lightweight and durable, making it a practical choice for everyday use in a variety of environments.
